I created this magazine to break down all the key aspects of typography in one place, so I’d never forget the details. From composition, spacing and historical typefaces to experiments, type classifications and even microtypography, it’s all in there. Designing the magazine helped me explore typography in a playful and hands-on way. The content is still stuck in my mind, making it easy to use in other projects.
In this magazine, I was also able to use brighter colors and bolder designs than I normally would, which was a fun change from my usual more simple style. I also experimented with thread binding for the first time, which made the magazine feel even more personal.
